Terms and conditions

Stays at Appley Lodge must consist of a minimum of two or three consecutive nights (depending on time of season) and can begin on any day of the week, commencing on the day of arrival and concluding after breakfast on the day of departure.

If the booking is cancelled 30 x days or more before arrival then a charge of £50 will be made. Full booking balance is due on the day of arrival. Dated confirmation of a booking sent to you by Appley Lodge (In any format) shall constitute a contract between you and Appley Lodge and your agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with: Appley Lodge, 13 Queens Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, PO37 6AW (referred to in these terms and conditions as Appley Lodge)

Our cancellation policy:

We understand there are occasions when you have to cancel your booking and if we are unable to re-let your room the following charges will apply:

If the booking is cancelled 29 x days or less before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

If the booking is cancelled 30 x days or more before arrival, then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.

We require a valid credit card to secure bookings and reserve the right to charge the card for cancellations falling outside the permitted time scales, as detailed above. By entering into this contract, you are authorising us to make the above charges to the card without any additional consent being required.

We strongly recommend you consider taking out holiday insurance to cover the cost of your booking. Refunds will not be issued for reasons outside of the control of Appley Lodge.

Check-in:

Check in is after 2.00pm on day of arrival Check out is before 10.30am on day of departure Early arrivals and later departures can be catered for with prior arrangement.

Damage / Unruly Behaviour:

Appley Lodge reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of Customers, guests or representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by Appley Lodge. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, Appley Lodge may terminate the booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

Appley Lodge reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the establishment during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

Appley Lodge reserves the right to refuse entry, or ask guests to leave at any time during their stay if guests are found to be causing damage, or their behaviour is causing or likely to cause distress to others.

If a guest is refused entry or asked to leave mid-stay Appley Lodge accept no responsibility for finding such guests alternative accommodation and depending on the circumstances surrounding a request to leave no refund for unused nights will be forthcoming unless otherwise agreed to by Appley Lodge.

Appley Lodge cannot be held responsible for personal illness or injury, or damage to or loss of any personal belongings or equipment while you are on holiday - Again, we strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover such incidents, Appley Lodge complies with all current regulations (e.g. fire, health, & food safety)

Discrimination:

It is the policy of Appley Lodge not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability. Clients, their employees, guests and all sub-contractors engaged by or on behalf of Appley Lodge are expected to adhere to this policy and Appley Lodge may, without incurring any liability to themselves, remove from the establishment any person or persons offending against this policy

Extra Guests:

Extra guests are not permitted in any Appley Lodge Bedroom, use of the bedroom is for the registered guests checked into that specific bedroom only.

Access:

Appley Lodge is a Victorian house dating back to the 1860's, whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. Please feel free to contact us if you have any personal requirements you would like to discuss.
